disposal

If one day you have had enough of your mate sonic toothbrush (which of course we don't believe), don't throw it in the normal household waste, but do it as follows.

For customers from Germany

Note on battery disposal

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:

As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.

Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury.

According to European directives and the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), old devices and all electronic parts included in the scope of delivery may not be disposed of with household waste. The symbol below means that the old device and the electronic parts included in the delivery should be disposed of separately from household waste for the purpose of recycling.

This is how you dispose of your mate sonic toothbrush

Dispose of your mate sonic toothbrush at a recycling center or valuables collection point. You can also return old devices and old batteries that we have or have had as new batteries in our range to our dispatch warehouse free of charge. The built-in battery does not have to be removed from the sonic toothbrush, but the device must be disposed of correctly. If you are unsure, please contact your local authority for more information. In addition, the applicable regulations and laws on battery disposal must be observed.

Please help and make an active contribution to environmental protection by not disposing of your old device or any electronic parts it contains with household waste.

For customers from Austria

With the EAG-VO in Austria, EU law was implemented in national law.
The implementation ensures, among other things, that old electrical and electronic equipment from private households can be returned free of charge to public collection points.
WEEE may no longer be disposed of with mixed municipal waste, but must be handed in at the collection points provided for this purpose. In this way, functional devices can be reused or valuable components from broken devices can be recycled. This should contribute to more efficient use of resources and thus to more sustainable development. In addition, hazardous components of the devices (such as CFCs or mercury) can only be treated adequately by separate collection, thus avoiding negative effects on the environment and human health. Municipalities and manufacturer systems offer you free return and collection options for your private old devices. An overview of the existing collection points can be found on the following website: https://secure.umweltbundesamt.at/eras/registerabfrageEAGSammelstelleSearch.do
All electrical and electronic devices for the household are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. These devices may be handed in at all collection points listed under the link and should not be disposed of with household waste.

Please note the above information. Thanks.
